Fall Dye Experiments Workshop
Located at Peaceful Belly Farm. We'll explore making colorants with late season plants from the farm as well as with black walnuts!

Indigo is an incredible plant that yields blue dye. We have been growing our own patch of Japanese indigo on the farm this year, and are excited to share the process of creating indigo pigment directly from the source!

Stone Soup Camp
Monday, July 28th - Thursday, July 31st from 9:00 am- 3:00 pm.
Have your kids learn the art of puppetry with a variety of different materials! We will be giving gratitude to building community while experimenting with how to perform the story through their puppets. We hope kids explore puppet making and practice improving while they have their puppets tell the story.

Natural Artist Camp
Tuesday, July 22rd, - Thursday, July 24th from 9:00 am- 3:00 pm.
This is a three-day camp for aspiring young artists! We will teach the artistic journey from start to finish using natural materials! We will show how to make paper, bind a sketchbook, and make charcoal utensils, pens, and paints all from scratch! Plus so much more! We will only have a few spots available so make sure to claim your spot!

Garden Sculpture Class
11am-3pm
An event for all ages!
Join us for a Mud Party and a garden sculpture class!
learn all about natural building techniques, creative garden construction, and have a super fun day making outside!
Get ready to get a little dirty ;)

Dye with Weeds!
Explore plants considered weeds by some, and work with them as collaborators in our quest or color!
This beginner level adult class will introduce the dye materials and techniques to make a use of the abundant "weeds" in our environment. We will look into the concept of weeds as a category of plants, and pursue that question as we further our inquiry into working with plants for colorants. We will prepare both cotton and a protein based fiber for dyeing; and experiment with binding fabrics before immersing them in dyes. Plants we will use: Tree of Heaven and possibly others.
We will provide all of the dye materials and cotton napkin blanks as well as wool samples for each person. You will receive an email after you register that will include more details on what you can expect, and what items you might bring with you to try in our vats.
Each dyer will receive a reference sheet to take home, so this journey can be continued!

This event will take place outdoors, and a will be rescheduled if the weather does not work in our favor. If you must cancel your reservation, please email community@polumbolum.org to do so, as early as you can.

flowers of the farm
This beginner level adult class will introduce the dye materials and techniques to make flower based dye vats! We will prepare both cotton and wool for dyeing; and experiment with binding fabrics before immersing them in dyes. Our process will explore water conservation and how dyes can reinvigorate tired old fabrics.
We will provide all of the dye materials and cotton napkin blanks as well as wool samples for each person.

Cooking Camp
Monday, July 7th - Wednesday, July 9th from 9:00am- 3:00pm each day!
Have your kids learn how to cook delicious food! There will be different food each day. Yummy ravioli, Fun different pizzas, and a cornbread and stuffed pepper dish, all completely from scratch! We will be teaching kids these delicious recipes while also showing them essential kitchen knowledge!
This is the perfect camp for your cooking-interested kid to learn more!
